Front Strut and Spring Assembly Replacement on 2012-2015 Honda Civic
Restore smooth suspension ride. Complete guide on swapping the integrated front strut assemblies. Mapped specifically for 2014 Honda Civic Si (2.4L I4 (K24Z7)).
Step 1
Unbolt Suspension Knuckle
Raise vehicle, remove front wheel. Unclip ABS wire and brake line brackets from strut body. Remove the two massive lower strut-to-knuckle bolts.
🔧 Fastener: 19mm Knuckle Bolt • Torque Spec: 67 ft-lbs
Step 2
Unbolt Strut Tower Mount
Under the hood (or cowl plastic), locate the 3 top strut mount nuts. Secure the strut body from underneath while unscrewing these nuts. Slide the assembly downward.
🔧 Fastener: 14mm Top Mount Nut • Torque Spec: 33 ft-lbs
Step 3
Install Complete Assembly
Do not attempt to compress old springs manually. Bolt the pre-assembled loaded strut cartridge directly into position, starting with top tower mounts first.
