Front Wheel Hub and Bearing Replacement on 2012-2015 Honda Civic
Resolve loud roaring wheel noises. Replacement procedure for front wheel bearings. Mapped specifically for 2012 Honda Civic Si (2.4L I4 (K24Z7)).
Step 1
Unstake and Loosen Axle Nut
With car on ground, pull off wheel cover. Use a punch to pop up the indented stake on the CV axle nut. Use a massive 32mm socket and breaker bar to break torque.
🔧 Fastener: 32mm Axle Nut • Torque Spec: 134 ft-lbs
Step 2
Disassemble Suspension Knuckle
Remove brakes, rotors, and tie-rod ends. Pop the ball joint socket. Extract the hub/knuckle assembly. This uses a press-fit bearing; press out old hub, swap bearing, and re-press.
🔧 Fastener: Ball Joint Castle Nut • Torque Spec: 43 ft-lbs
